Ken Crawford has been on the staff of the Department of State for more than 10 years. He currently manages several National Endowment for the Arts state grant programs for the Division of Cultural Affairs, assists the Museum of Florida History, and produces numerous special events for the Department. He also produced the Florida Folk Festival for the Division of Historical Resources beginning in 1995, until this state heritage festival was transferred to the Florida Park Service in 2002. He continues to assist individual artists and arts organizations with planning and artistic development. 

Previously, Mr. Crawford was an independent concert promoter with his own production company, designing and developing large music events for municipalities and nonprofit organizations. In past years, he was a festival producer for local Main Street programs in South Florida, and consultant and projects director for local arts agencies, including the Palm Beach County Cultural Council, the Martin County Council for the Arts, and the Pinellas County Arts Council. He also worked as an Arts & Entertainment writer and features editor for several Scripps Howard newspapers in South Florida, and has taught English, Philosophy and Creative Writing at the College level.
