Ayse Papatya Bucak was born in Istanbul in 1971. She is an assistant professor in the MFA program at Florida Atlantic University. Her stories and poems have appeared in numerous literary magazines, including Literary Review, Glimmer Train, and Ohio Review. She has been short-listed for the Pushcart Prize and was a writer-in-residence at Hedgebrook Farm.
