Mia Leonin, Miami, Florida

Mia Leonin’s poetry has been published in many literary journals among them New Letters, Indiana Review, Prairie Schooner, and Witness. Her book Braid was published by Anhinga Press. She has been awarded the Academy of American Poets Alfred Boas Prize and her poems have been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She was recently awarded a Money For Women Grant by the Barbara Deming Memorial Fund and she is a 2005 recipient of a Florida Individual Artist Fellowship from the State of Florida Division of Cultural Affairs.
