The Division of Cultural Affairs administers a variety of grant programs for non-profit Florida organizations, supporting a wide range of cultural activities, which provide access to the arts for all of Florida’s residents and visitors.

Through these programs, the Division helps sustain communities through organizational growth and stabilization, by providing funding for cultural projects, and through the construction and expansion of cultural facilities.

Arts in Education Challenge Grant
Supports activities that promote the arts as an integral part of education and life-long learning through project grants. Offers applicants the opportunity to undertake innovative and unique arts and cultural projects. The program is not intended for general support.

Culture Builds Florida Cultural Endowment

Provides funding for projects that explore one or more of the four areas of the strategic plan, Culture Builds Florida's Future.

Provides $240,000 state matching grants to qualifying cultural organizations that have raised $360,000 in local matching funds. The $600,000 principal is then invested and the interest used for general operations.


Cultural Facilities Cultural Support Grants Program
Provides funding for the renovation, construction, or acquisition of cultural facilities.

Supports programming and projects that foster excellence and diversity in art and culture through general program support and specific projects. Categories include: dance, discipline service, folk arts, interdisciplinary, literature, media arts, multidisciplinary, museums/art, museums/non-art, music, sponsor/presenter, community theatre, professional theatre, and visual arts.


Quarterly Assistance Local Arts Agency

Promotes professional development and growth for arts organizations by offering small grants for organizations that are new to the grantmaking process; it also provides assistance for organizations that have “sudden opportunities,” or that wish to take advantage of professional development opportunities.

Strengthens, stabilizes, and assists communities by providing general program or project support to designated local arts agencies.

State Service Organization Regional Cultural Facilities

Fosters quality and professionalism in support of cultural excellence, access, and inclusion for the benefit of the public.

Provides funding for the renovation, construction, or acquisition of regional cultural facilities.

State Touring Program (STP) Underserved Arts Communities

STP (Presenters) supports live performances by Florida’s performing and visual artists by providing matching grants to non-profit organizations wishing to present companies listed on the State Touring Roster. Priority is given to under-populated counties.

Fosters the development of underserved arts organizations by providing access to grants for salary assistance, organizational development, and consultancy.
