Non-profit organizations, which meet the Basic Eligibility Requirements, should follow all instructions and complete the grant application form found in the Underserved Arts Community Assistance Program Guidelines.

How is the grant reviewed?

  • All applications are first reviewed for technical eligibility by Division staff.
  • The Division will then send each member of the UACAP committee (a subcommittee of the Florida Arts Council) copies of the applications that are eligible.
  • The committee will independently evaluate each application based on the primary review criteria (as stated in the guidelines).
  • The committee will then convene in a public meeting to review the applications and make funding recommendations.
  • The Florida Arts Council will recommend support for no more than one application per grant type per quarter from the same organization.
  • The recommendations are submitted to the Secretary of State for approval.
