The Discipline Director (Local Arts Agencies and Challenge America Fast Track) reports directly to the Deputy Chairman for Programs and Partnerships and serve as the agency’s nationally recognized expert and authority for the Local Arts Agencies field and the Challenge America Fast rack funding category. The incumbent also serves as supervisor of the Local Arts Agencies and Challenge America Fast Track discipline specialists.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess a comprehensive knowledge of the Local Arts Agencies field, as well as a broad knowledge of current artistic trends to address the diverse, multidisciplinary constituents who apply under the Challenge America Fast-Track category. Director of External Affairs

Golisano Children's Musuem of Naples, Naples Florida

The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (C’mon) is seeking a full-time Director of External Affairs (DEA). Under supervision of the Executive Director, the DEA holds responsibility for the Museum’s relationships with a variety of audiences to help the Museum realize its mission, vision and goals. The DEA is responsible for managing events and external activities for the museum that are not related to education or the capital campaign. The DEA will also assist the Executive Director in managing communication and relationships with board members, business and community leaders, legislators, members, volunteers, and with peer institutions.

Description of Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Building and sustaining strategic relationships with visitors, members, business and community leaders, legislators and other key constituencies of the Museum.
  • Works collaboratively with Executive Director to design and implement a comprehensive marketing and public relations program and appropriate marketing strategies for C’mon in keeping with the Museum’s goals and branding. Monitors and analyzes outcomes from marketing programs/strategies including evaluation of cost effectiveness.
  • Coordinates public presentations and appearances, including writing speeches and identifying speaking opportunities.
  • Formulates policy and program recommendations that promote the museum within the community and that facilitate and encourage the involvement of business and community leadership with the museum.
  • Regularly represents the museum in the community and with key constituencies.
  • Plans and executes special events with a broad community focus including panel discussions, receptions and other programming.
  • Designs and coordinates production of collateral materials to support the Museum ranging from event invitations and e-newsletters to annual reports and membership materials.
  • Updates Museum website as needed.
  • Manages media relations and PR opportunities.
  • Manages advertising program including development of ad schedule, negotiating ad rates and ad placement.
  • Manages corporate partnerships and develops new corporate relationships.

Qualifications

Minimum Training and Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in communication, business, marketing or other relevant field; supplemented by three or more years of demonstrated accomplishment in a multi-faceted external relations position.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite & Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat). Graphic design skills required.
  • Web and Social Media experience required.
  • Knowledge of Southwest Florida media sources.

Librarian (part-time)

The Librarian oversees all operations of the Anton Brees Carillon Library. It contains books, serials, manuscripts, many forms of AV recordings, photographs, music scores, vertical files, ephemera, personal archives. Most of the texts are in English, Dutch and French. This special library was established in 1968 to collect and preserve materials related to the carillon. The main purpose is a research facility for the historical and technical study of carillons, bells and other bell instruments. It is not open to the public and is not a lending library.

Qualifications

Master of Library Science degree from an ALA-accredited graduate school required - will consider a graduate student with a minimum of 20 hours in course work completed to include basic cataloging; minimum of two years experience in a library required. Additional qualifications preferred include basic knowledge of music, understanding of Dutch, German or French languages, and archives management. Strong written and verbal communication skills required; strong computer skills in Word and Excel required.

Artistic Director

The Artistic Director is responsible for the overall music and education programs of the New Jersey Youth Symphony. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the Artistic Director oversees seven conductors who guide ensembles that perform over 40 regular and outreach concerts for diverse audiences annually. The Artistic Director serves on the Music Education Committee and as an ex-officio non-voting member of the Board of Trustees. Qualifications
