Welcome to Secretary of State Glenda Hood, Florida's Chief Cultural Officer

The Division of Cultural Affairs is so pleased to be given the opportunity to work with Secretary of State Glenda Hood, Florida's Chief Cultural Officer.  Secretary Hood, as Mayor of Orlando for the previous ten years, has been a staunch supporter of the arts, understanding the value that cultural activities play in community and economic development.  Mayor Hood has been the spokesperson for many cultural activities during her term as Mayor of Orlando.  We are now fortunate to have her leadership at the state level to continue her energy and commitment for supporting the arts and cultural resources.

We hope that you will find the new Florida Arts Website to be a source of information, as well as a forum to promote Florida's rich cultural resources.  The design is based on reminiscences of Florida Highwaymen art, carrying similar themes and hues.  We would appreciate your feedback as we continue to make this site a valuable resource to our constituents.
