Contact: Jennifer Hoesing Light and Shadow Play in Florida Oil Paintings exhibition on display in Capitol GalleryTallahassee, FLORIDA – Secretary of State Kurt S. Browning announces the opening of Light and Shadow Play in Florida Oil Paintings, an exhibition by Gainesville, Florida artist Lissa Friedman. The exhibition of paintings is on display in the Capitol Gallery on the 22nd Floor of the Florida Capitol through December 4, 2009. Nationally recognized artist Lissa Friedman has exhibited her work in juried art shows, galleries, and numerous private collections. She has won numerous awards and her landscapes will be featured in an issue of International Artists Magazine in 2010. Lissa is a member of Oil Painters of America and Landscape Artists International. In addition, she teaches classes at her studio on Newnans Lake. The exhibition is part of the Division of Cultural Affairs’ Capitol Complex Exhibition Program. The Cabinet Meeting Room is located on the Lower Level of the Florida Capitol.
