Sibille Hart Pritchard Appointed to Florida Arts Council

Secretary of State Glenda E. Hood is pleased to announce that House Speaker Johnnie Byrd has appointed Sibille Pritchard to the Florida Arts Council, where she currently serves as Vice Chairman. Ms. Pritchard will serve a second term on the council though September 30, 2006.
Sibille Hart Pritchard is Sr. Vice President of the Brooksville Development Corporation. She is currently a board member of numerous organizations including United Arts of Central Florida, the Association to Preserve the Eatonville Community Inc., presenters of the annual Zora Neale Hurston Festival, and the Orlando Ballet. She previously served as President of the Florida Executive Women and as a board member for the Governor’s Council of Libraries, the Central Florida Community Reinvestment Corporation, and the Tangelo Park District and Scholarship Fund.
The 15-member council advises the Secretary of State on matters pertaining to culture and the arts and recommends funding for cultural grants statewide. Current members of the Florida Arts Council are:
