Organized by art instructors, Elise Batchelor and A.J. Abellera, Destination: North Florida is a collaborative effort between two different programs at the Lively Technical Center – Commercial Art Technology and Commercial Photography. "This exhibit showcases work from students at various levels in the Commercial Art Technology and Commercial Photography programs, from beginners to recent graduates,” said instructor Elise Batchelor. “It's an exciting display of talent from Tallahassee's up-and-coming graphic designers and photographers."

For this exhibit, the students have produced a body of work that explores the concept of North Florida tourism. Inspired by the recent success of the marketing campaign, Culturally Florida! which was launched by the Department of State, the students have created their own original advertising campaigns designed to promote the tourism resources of the local region. North Florida destinations such as the St. Marks River and Lighthouse, the Wakulla River, the Leon Sinks, and pristine area beaches are showcased through a variety of different advertising mediums, from postcards and brochures to billboards and black and white photography, all with the purpose of inviting the viewer to discover the fascinating places that this part of the state has to offer.

Lively Technical Center is Tallahassee's premier technical training center serving approximately 4,500 adult students annually and offering quality programs that feature intensive, hands-on vocational training, and job placement.
