TALLAHASSEE, FL – Secretary of State Glenda E. Hood announces an exhibition of multi-media artworks by Leon County high school seniors from the Rickards High School International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. The exhibition, which features the artwork of eleven talented students, is on display from April 4 through April 30, 2003, in the Arts Learning Gallery.

Each year, Rickards IB seniors organize an end-of-the-year exhibition of their works. This year, the Arts Learning Gallery is pleased to display these artworks for the local community. A variety of artworks utilizing a range of materials and mediums will be on display, from drawings, paintings and photography to unique sculptures and installations.

Rickards High School is the only school in Tallahassee that offers the International Baccalaureate Program. Created in 1968, the program is designed for highly motivated secondary school students ages 16-19, to challenge and meet their academic needs in all subject areas. In Florida, students who complete the IB Program are guaranteed Florida Academic Scholars' standing. A total of 85 schools statewide offer the IB program.

The Arts Learning Gallery is located on the first level of the R.A. Gray Building, home of the Museum of Florida History, at 500 South Bronough Street in downtown Tallahassee. Hours are: Monday-Friday 9:00-4:30, Saturday 10:00-4:30 and Sunday Noon-4:30.
