One of our most legendary hit songwriters and performing artists, Mr. Tillis, at 76, is the model for a successful lifetime career in Country Music. His many international achievement awards, more than 70 recorded albums, and numerous platinum record sales, represent a major level of success in the Music Industry that belies his humble upbringing in Pahokee, Florida. In 2007, he was officially inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. His well-known philanthropy for good causes in the state, including his broad outreach to Florida’s young people through disadvantaged youth programs, has made him a much-appreciated household name.
