Rebecca Skelton holds a BFA and MFA from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. She worked as an art director in the advertising industry in Atlanta until 1985. After moving to St. Petersburg she was a freelance illustrator and designer. For several years she volunteered in art classes for the public school system. She currently freelances in the graphics industry, teaches painting and drawing at The Arts Center in St. Petersburg and teaches painting as an adjunct professor at the University of Tampa. Ms. Skelton has exhibited her work since 1974 and is represented internationally in private collections and the permanent collection of Auburn University and The Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. Ms. Skelton is married to the photographer Joseph N. Walles.
