Please help make our task of processing
hundreds of artist submissions easier.
- Read carefully the description for each of the 5 submission
items so that you can be sure to include all required information in the appropriate format.
- It is important to include the prices of your work, even the
budgets of commission projects. If committees are unable to
determine if a particular kind of artwork is within their budget,
they tend to bypass that artist.
- Do not send your Statement, Resume and Image ID Sheet in notebooks
(ring binders), cardboard folders or plastic sheet protectors.
Use a plastic sheet only for your slides or CDs.
- Use a large font for your Image ID Sheet. Remember, we are
reading it to the Art Selection Committee in the dark. For the
same reason, do not use dark or colored paper.
- Do not print your Image ID Sheet in a "landscape"
format.
- Staple your Resume pages together at the top left corner.
- Be sure to indicate on your Image ID Sheet which artworks
are currently available for purchase.
- Prices for existing works must include delivery or shipping
costs and works must arrive framed or ready to install. The
committees have no "extra" funds for framing or shipping.
- Digital images must be sent on a CD. You may include text items (statement, resume & Image ID Sheet) on the CD but you must ALSO send hard copies of those items.
- CDs must be clearly labeled with the project name and the artist's name and sent in a protective case.
- CDs will be discarded so, if images are sent on a CD, a SASE is not necessary.
Thank You!
