About the Program

The purpose of the State Touring Program is to bring live performance by the finest of Florida's performing and visual artists to every corner of the state. It works like this.

  1. Florida-based artists or companies that are available for touring apply to be on the roster (Arts on Tour - Florida's State Touring Roster). A peer review panel meets every two years to select a new roster.

  2. Presenters (any non-profit organization) may request fee support to present one or more artists featured in the current roster. The application deadline is every May 1st. Presenters must work directly with the artist to arrange booking and contract details before applying for fee support. Organizations in underpopulated counties are given priority.

  3. Audiences across the state benefit from dance, music, and theatre by some of the state's finest visual and performing artists.

See the presenter or roster guidelines for more information and application instructions. Funding to support this program is based on annual legislative appropriation.
