The Division of Cultural Affairs promotes arts education through the Arts in Education Grants Program and the Arts Learning Gallery. Listed below are a number of other resources related to arts education. State ResourcesArts for a Complete Education/Florida Alliance for Arts Education (ACE/FAAE) is a statewide organization of partners and coalitions working to promote arts in education.VSA arts of Florida is a state affiliate of "VSA arts," an international nonprofit organization that creates educational opportunities through the arts for people with disabilities. National ResourcesAmericans for the Arts, a national nonprofit organization that works to advance the arts in America, offers numerous arts education resources you need to make the case for the arts—in school and after—including research, toolkits, and examples of exemplary programs.The Arts Education Partnership is a national coalition of arts, education, business, philanthropic and government organizations that demonstrates and promotes the essential role of the arts in the learning and development of every child and in the improvement of America's schools. National Art Education Association (NAEA) promotes art education through professional development, service, advancement of knowledge, and leadership. National Endowment for the Arts posts numerous resources related to arts education on their website. Web ResourcesArtsEdge is an online resource center funded by the National Endowment for the Arts and the United States Department of Education and administered by the Kennedy Center Education Department. Its mission is to help artists, teachers, and students gain access to and share information, resources, and ideas that support the arts as a core subject in the K-12 curriculum.Imagine Mars Project, co-sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the National Aeronautical and Space Administration (NASA) is a unique national arts, science and education initiative. The website contains lesson plans and resources for k-12 students to design a futuristic Mars community. Students explore their own community and decide which arts, scientific and cultural elements will be important on Mars. Then they develop their ideal community, from an interdisciplinary perspective of arts, sciences and technology.
