Description

The Florida A&M University Foster Tanner Fine Arts Gallery (Tallahassee, Florida) is hosting its 4th Annual PINNACLE National Juried Art Competition and Exhibition. PINNACLE is an all media art competition (both 2D and 3D art welcome) open to visual artists at least 18 years of age and U.S. residents. The deadline to submit artwork is July 2, 2012.

There is a $25 submission fee for the submission of three digital slides. $1,000 will be awarded to the 'Best in Show' winner. Cash prizes will also be awarded to First, Second and Third Place winners. All selected artists will have their work featured in the Foster Tanner Fine Arts Gallery from September 7-28, 2012, and receive one illustrated catalog with images of all the exhibited PINNACLE art work.

The juror for PINNACLE is artist, Steven Bernard Jones; former Florida State University Professor of Sculpture and the 2007 Artist in Residence at FSU's Master Craftsman Studio. Jones' public sculptures can be seen around the country. Along with exhibiting nationally, Jones has conducted art workshops internationally, including the FOSAJ (Fondation Sant D’A Jakmel) Jacmel Art Centre in Haiti.
