A Power Point slideshow supports the program.

Presentations are also available for K-12 audiences including residencies. Subjects covered include the playing of guitar, harmonica, and mandolin, the process of songwriting; and careers in music. Lyric Detective

A complete activity with synopsis, lesson plan, procedures, and Sunshine State Standards that shows students how to interpret the meaning of a song’s lyrics. As Chris performs his original song “Easter Sunday,” students will learn about Ponce de Leon’s discovery of Florida on Easter Sunday in 1513 and how Florida got its name. During the study of the song, students will move through the sea voyage and landing. The song will help them each create diary entries on the sailors’ experiences and then use their imaginations to expand this experience in history. Detailed study guides are available with Language Arts and Music Sunshine State Standards. 45 minutes.
